Why most AI roleplay collapses by session three

AI roleplay built on stateless models has a structural ceiling. The character you wrote in session one is in the model's context until the window fills up or the session ends. After that, the AI is reconstructing from saved facts — usually a thin sketch — and inventing the rest.

How to set up roleplay in Fostera
