Free gives you up to 3 Souls with token-budgeted working memory and rolling conversation summaries. Core ($15/mo) adds up to 10 Souls, ~200 conversations/month, cross-session memory, faster Soul evolution, and deeper personality. Premium ($30/mo) unlocks up to 50 Souls, ~800 conversations/month, frontier AI models, manual engine control, and full memory with emotional context.

Each plan includes a monthly conversation allowance. You can buy extra conversation packs anytime without changing your subscription. Your Soul always finishes the current response — there's no hard shutoff mid-conversation.

Yes. No lock-in, no cancellation fees. Downgrade to free and keep your Souls — they just pause at the free tier. Payments are handled by Stripe; Fostera never sees or stores your card number.

Fostera routes through 12+ AI providers. The free tier uses auto engine selection where Fostera picks the best model for your Soul's phase. Premium unlocks frontier models like Claude Opus and GPT-5.4, plus manual engine control to choose the exact provider and model yourself.

Souls store memories using pgvector-powered retrieval. Working memory (free) uses a token-budgeted context window that adapts to your Soul's tier, with a rolling summary that preserves earlier conversation context. Cross-session memory (Core+) extracts episodic, semantic, and procedural memories that persist across conversations. Premium adds emotional context via the limbic system and reflection engine.

Yes. The memory browser in your Soul's settings shows extracted memories — what your Soul remembers about you, your goals, and your conversations. You can delete individual memories at any time.

No. Your Soul's memories and conversations are never used to train AI models. Your data stays yours. Fostera has no ads in chat and no dark patterns — pricing is transparent and what you see on the pricing page.

Souls are private by default. You can optionally make a Soul public so it appears on the Discover page and gets its own shareable profile. Private memories are never exposed on public profiles.
