Google ties memory of past chats to Gemini Apps Activity, so the setting requires Keep Activity on and removing a memory means deleting its source chat. Keep Activity also governs whether your activity improves Google's services, including model training, so turning it off ends both.
Can I import my Gemini history into another AI?
