The cleanest way to schedule Threads and LinkedIn together is to start with one source draft, publish only the fields both platforms support, and add network-specific options only after you narrow the destination to one. That gives you one workflow without pretending the two networks accept the same post.

Both networks have native scheduling. LinkedIn lets members schedule supported posts, while Meta has added scheduling and other creator tools to Threads and describes its API as a way for third-party tools to manage a Threads presence at scale. The hard part is no longer whether a post can be scheduled. It is keeping the copy, attachments, timing, and platform-only controls coherent across two different publishing contracts.

Threads and LinkedIn are not interchangeable destinations
“Post to both” sounds like one action. Underneath, it is two payloads with different rules.

The last column is the important one. A reliable multi-platform composer should calculate the intersection of the selected platforms, not the union.
The union says, “Threads supports video, so show video.” That produces a payload LinkedIn cannot accept in this Fostera flow. The intersection says, “Both destinations accept JPEG and PNG, so those are the shared choices.” It may expose fewer controls, but every visible option remains valid.

Cross-posting is a distribution decision, not a requirement to make every version identical. The goal is one controlled workflow, not one flattened voice.
3. Select destinations before polishing the payload

Do not split mechanically at every 500 characters. A good social sequence is a series of standalone thoughts that also build on one another.
For each item, ask:
- Can someone understand this without reading the previous item?
- Does it contain one claim rather than three partial claims?
- Is the opening specific enough to earn attention?
- Does the final item point somewhere useful instead of merely saying “thoughts?”

Queued does not mean forgotten. Before a post publishes, you should be able to inspect it, edit it, cancel it, or choose to post it now. If a provider rejects a publish request, the system should distinguish a retryable failure from one that needs reconnection or a content change.
